Pricing
The majority of these boots are between $300-400 CAD to produce.
My customs cost $100 CAD to ship to Vancouver. Which I am sure we could bring down per set of boots if we were shipping a larger amount of them for stock.
I would like $100 per set of boots at the moment for the effort and continued support between yourself and Louis (Cavaletti’s owner)
I think a $300-400 profit for yourself to retail the boots
This would put the boots I believe (with your recommendation) in a competitive space of $800-1000 CAD.
Product Testing
Louis is willing to do a free sponsored pair for a top rider we recommend (likely one you already work closely with), to try the boots and give feed back on the product.
Consignment to Pilot
He/we are also willing to customize a style of boot you would like to carry in your store; then we would work the pilot project on consignment producing a group of boots you could carry for in-store. This in a way could be a custom style for your store that you feel sells best in the area; zipper style, toe style, sole type, spur blocks, zipper covers, lace or no lace, etc. Options are really endless.
For any styles or sizes you run out of, Louis has lead time on fully custom boots of 8-10 days at the moment plus shipping. So getting those sizes up to you should be fast enough
Other Points
I worked with him to create a ‘free jump’ type of design for half chaps which i wear mine every day and love them.
He also wanted me to let you know, he does halters, lead ropes, casual shoes, hand bags, leather and tack cleaner, belts and wallets.
This is early stages so any feedback or ideas you might have please feel free to voice. Louis is a great young guy trying to build a quality brand and a business for himself and his community.
